04.24.2008 : PCA.ORG Service Outage 4/26/2008

PCA.ORG and hosted region and zone web sites will be undergoing a database upgrade on Saturday, April 26 commencing approximately 10:00am Eastern time and extending for several hours. During this time, sites may be intermittently unavailable. Thank you for your patience.

04.10.2008 : PCA Membership Station at ALMS Mid-Ohio, July 18-19, 2008

There will be a PCA Membership station within the Porscheplatz for the American Le Mans Series race, the ACURA SPORTS CAR CHALLENGE, at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, Ohio on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 22.

The Porscheplatz is hosted by Porsche Cars North America and Porsche Motorsport North America with the cooperation of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and the American Le Mans Series. There will be scheduled appearances by Porsche race drivers for informal talks and autographs.

In addition, IMSA will offer supervised Parade laps of the track with a two lap maximum open to the first 50 registered Porsches on a first come, first serve basis. Registration for the Parade Laps will be at the hospitality tent for credentialed Porscheplatz participants only.

Special features for the weekend will include a "Long Distance Award," raffle drawings for a "Hot Pit" escorted tour and special Porsche related prizes.

The Porscheplatz is hosted by Porsche Cars North America and Porsche Motorsport North America with the cooperation of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and the American Le Mans Series. There will be scheduled appearances by Porsche race drivers for informal talks and autographs.

We have solved the outage and the PCA.ORG logon system is working normally once again. We apologize for the outage and any inconvenience it may have caused.

03.11.2008 : Parade Charlotte registration period extended due to technical problems

We apologize to those of you trying to register for the Charlotte Parade today. Despite our best efforts, which included extensive testing prior to today, our server software continues to exhibit problems that are preventing the majority of you from registering for the Parade.

Therefore:

First Day Registration will be extended until Thursday, March 13th at midnight, for both paper or on-line applications. All applications received on-line before midnight Eastern Time on the 13th, or paper applications postmarked the 11th, 12th or 13th will be considered to be equal for registration purposes.

Thank you for your patience as we try very hard to work through these issues.

03.03.2008 : 2007 Membership Contest Winners Announced

Space Coast Region shown in the spot lite with an outstanding Factored Growth of 212.67.

Carolinas Region had an exceptional Actual Growth of 231 members for the year.

Both Region will be publically recognized receiving their trophies at the Charlotte Parade in July.

Longtime Panorama photographer Leonard Turner has begun a weblog at pca.org where he'll share his insights on where Porsches and photography intersect. The first topic is how to photograph a race without credentials.
