Driver Education,Mid Ohio

Mid-Ohio Region (MORPCA) is hosting a driver education event with Central Indiana Region (CIR) at Putnam Park Road Course in Mt. Meridian, Indiana on July 7 – 8, 2012. MORPCA was one of the first clubs to hold a driver education event at Putnam Park. What is NEW for 2012? This year like we will have plenty of track time, if necessary we will purchase extra track to give you the best value in a DE. Track will go hot at 8 AM instead of 9 AM. Also, new for this year will be garages. Upward of 20 drive-through units will be available for our students and instructors for a modest fee. Putnam is a favorite among racers as well as beginning drivers. The 1.8 mile long, ten turn road course is an excellent layout. It makes for a terrific place to begin your high performance driving experience or continue with skill refinement. Our two day event will include extensive track time as well as class room instruction. PCA instructors will be assigned to each driver. Again this year we will use Indy pro driver, Dan Clarke for individual coaching. Do you still want more track time? We will also offer touring laps at lunch on both Saturday and Sunday. For about 20 minutes you can go out on the track at touring lap speeds (never exceeding normal highway speeds). You can practice your lines, locate landmarks for braking, turn in points, etc. and best of all you can take your family along. Yes, children can go too as long as they wear proper restraints. No helmets, just seat belts. Student sign up: All students are to sign up on www.clubregistration.net. If you are new to this web site, the first exercise will be to establish a profile. If you need help, please contact us. Instructor sign up: All instructors must be an MORPCA or current MORPCA approved instructor to sign up, if you have questions please contact the Chief Driving Instructor, Jeff West at rb101@windstream.net .
