share with our readers. Here are some photos that just wouldn't
fit
into the magazine this month.
Featured is the report on the Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta
where the GT2 championship was almost decided between the Alex
Job and Petersen/White Lightning teams. At Laguna Seca two weeks
later the champions were chosen and for this month's gallery we
show you Leonard Turners photos of the teams that scored big for
Porsche this season.

2004 American Le Mans Series GT2 Champion
Timo Bernard, with fellow Alex Job pilot Romain Dumas,
tied for second in this year's driver title chase.

The Alex Job Racing 911 GT3 RSR of Timo Bernard and
Romain Dumas scored four consecutive victories during
the season, to finish second in the GT2 Team Championship.
|
|
|
Frenchman Romain Dumas paired with Timo Bernhard
to finish second in the series driver championship,
scoring 145 points with wins at Mid Ohio, Lime Rock,
Infineon and Portland.

|
Wolf Henzler claimed fourth in the driver standings
while his partner at Laguna, Mike Rockenfeller, finished
seventh. The BAM Motorsports 911 finished third in
class at Laguna.

|
The first American driver to win the
championship since 1999, the 24-year-old Patrick Long
started karting in Europe at the age of 17.

|
|
|
Johannes van Overbeek and Jon Fogarty drove their
Flying Lizard 911 GT3 RSR to third in both the driver
and team championships.

|
Fatigue shows in the eyes of Jorg Bergmeister at
Laguna. It was short-lived as he and his partner Patrick
Long celebrated winning the 2005 drivers' honors at
the conclusion of the four hour race with a season
total of 179 points

Tim Sugden and Justin Jackson brought
the J3 Racing Porsche home sixth at Laguna, a
finish strong enough to garner fifth in the GT2
Team Championship. Sugden finished sixth in the
driver standings, while Jackson was eighth.

Jorg Bergmeister leaves the pits for the final
time at Laguna. He and Patrick Long scored five
wins over the season to secure the GT2 Team Championship
for Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing.
