August 2006

Each month, Panorama magazine brings you the best from the world
of Porsche. Races, vintage car shows, technical articles, we cover it all!

At Panorama, we never have room for all the pictures we'd like to
share with our readers. Here are some photos that just wouldn't fit
into the magazine this month.

Featured in the August issue are the first photos of Porsche Club of America's new office in Springfield, Virginia, and there's an invitation for you. If you’re in the neighborhood, join the staff at the PCA Open House at PCA National Headquarters on September 30. For more details contact PCA Executive Director Vu Nguyen at vun@pca.org, but in the meantime, join us in the Panorama Gallery for a virtual tour of the office and meet the staff that keeps things going at PCA central.

We refer you to the magazine for even more articles. How do you get your copy? Join PCA, Porsche Panorama is a prime benefit of membership!

Located at Forbes Place in Springfield, Virginia, PCA's new headquarters presents a welcoming facade.

Finance manager Denise Hovington handles the club's national finance operations.

Decorated in PCA red, white and blue, and displaying photos from Porsche Parades, the reception area is the first point of contact whether you visit the office in person or by telephone.

Charlotte Chirinos (seated) is the customer service leader in the office. She and customer service rep Kate Petrunak (standing) handle member services.

Rare factory posters as well as the history posters from our 50th anniversary celebration adorn the hallways.

A highlight of the new location is the conference room, displaying a quantity of PCA and Porsche archival material. It is the club's research center.

Check out the August issue for the story on PCA's new home. Read about a Porsche race car that never existed but would have been the successor to the 962, tour North Carolina's wine country and visit Fiesta del Porsche in New Mexico. The story of Porsche at Le Mans is also included, along with a report on Ozark Region's first multi-event weekend. All that and the latest news from Europe from Michael Cotton plus all the technical questions and answers that we could shoehorn into 132 pages of great reading.
