July 2007

Each month, Panorama magazine brings you the best from the world
of Porsche. Races, vintage car shows, technical articles, we cover it all!

At Panorama, we never have room for all the pictures we'd like to
share with our readers. Here are some photos that just wouldn't fit
into the magazine this month.

The July issue contains an invitation for all PCAers to attend Rennsport Reunion III at Daytona Beach this November. To whet your appetite for the celebration to come, we revisit some of Leonard Turner's iconic images from Rennsport Reunion II, which took place at Daytona in 2004.

We refer you to the magazine for even more articles. How do you get your copy? Join PCA, Porsche Panorama is a prime benefit of membership!

A gaggle of 917s awaits judging in 2004. For Rennsport Reunion III this November, the 917 will be a featured model.

PCA's contribution to Rennsport Reunion II was a demonstration of every 911 model ever produced. This year you'll see a display of every Porsche ever built.

PCNA's Bob Carlson, Grand Marshal Chris Economaki and PCNA CEO Peter Schwartzenbauer present a happy owner with his concours trophy.

PCA Club Racers took to the Daytona combination tri-oval and road course for the very first time at Rennsport Reunion II.

Sascha Maassen, Lucas Luhr, Jeff Zwart, Mike Keyser, Milt Minter, and Bobby Rahal are just a few of the drivers who were on hand for autographs.

The very first Porsche ever built is surrounded by early race cars. Later examples of Porsche's competition vehicles stretches as far as the eye can see.

Porsche 935, 962, RS Spyder and other Zuffenhausen prototypes pose at the start-finish line of the famous Daytona tri-oval. Look to see these cars again at Rennsport Reunion III.

Among the celebrities attending Rennsport II were legendary Porsche engineers Norbert Singer and Peter Falk.

The Rennsport concours gives owners and spectators alike the chance to get up close and personal with the cars that created Porsche's legendary track reputation.

Celebrity judges, wearing yellow hats, are about to inspect a 936 and 962.

In 2004 Rennsport Reunion included a vast vendor area. In 2007, there will be a model car show, a slot car track, and many other enticements for Porsche enthusiasts.

Check out the Rennsport 2007 update in the July issue. Also included are the report from California's Festival of Speed, a Panorama profile on young ace factory driver (and PCA member) Patrick Long, Bill Oursler's story on Le Mans 1994 when Norbert Singer drove a coach and 600 horses through the ACO's definition of a street car, and Bill Burris' informative article on how to buy a 944--all in addition to our regular news from Michael Cotton and plenty of tech questions and answers.
