January 2002

Each month, Panorama magazine brings you the best from the world of Porsche. Races, vintage car shows, technical articles, we cover it all!

At Panorama, we never have room for all the pictures we'd like to share with our readers. Here are some photos that just wouldn't fit into the magazine this month.

In our January issue we bring you the new 2002 911 Carrera 4S. These images were taken by Senior Editor Joe Rusz at the press introduction at the Palazzo Arzaga in Brescia, Italy, and in the Lombardy countryside.

We refer you to the magazine for even more articles. How do you get your copy? Join PCA, Porsche Panorama is a prime benefit of membership!

At Brescia, Porsche provided journalists with a cutaway of the C4S, which is basically a 911 Turbo chassis and suspension coupled with the normally-aspirated 320hp 996 engine.

The over-the-bumper red light strip that goes from taillight to taillight is unique to the 911 Carrera 4S.

The center front intake now has a spoiler-like trim tab to fine tune the aerodynamic balance of the C4S which is lighter than the Turbo and, because it's slower, needs less downforce.

See the January issue of Panorama for all the details on the 2002 911 Carrera 4S, a salute to ten years of
PCA Club Racing, and a sneak peak at a proposed new Porsche-powered prototype for Grand American racing.
