March 2002

Each month, Panorama magazine brings you the best from the world of Porsche. Races, vintage car shows, technical articles, we cover it all!

At Panorama, we never have room for all the pictures we'd like to share with our readers. Here are some photos that just wouldn't fit into the magazine this month.

In our March issue we bring you scenes from the Daytona 24 Hours. All photos are by Leonard Turner.

We refer you to the magazine for even more articles. How do you get your copy? Join PCA, Porsche Panorama is a prime benefit of membership!

A former Daytona winner, the
Gulf-Wyer 917K struts its stuff
during the vintage 24 Minutes
of Daytona.

Five Florida PCA regions combined to provide parking and a trackside hospitality tent where PCAers could grab some refreshment, meet friends and catch up with race developments.

Seikel Motorsport's #57, driven by Hugh Plumb, Tony Burgess, Philip Collin and David Shep,
finished eighth in GT and 16th overall.

Germany-based Freisinger Motorsports
GT3 RS became a pack mule after the race.

Though the Konrad Motorsport Saleen S7R leads a group a 911s, by the end of 24 hours a half dozen GT 911s were in front of the GTS exoticar.

Canadian-based 911GT1 entered by Klaus Bytzek gave fans some exciting moments
when Richard Spenard in the Porsche and
Scott Pruett in the GTS class winning Jaguar raced nose-to-tail through the dark,
swapping the class lead several times.

Proud to score a podium finish in GT, Gary Schultheis, Tony Kester, Sylvain Trembly and
Selby Wellman were second in class and ninth
overall in their Orbit Racing 911 GT3 RS.

Michael Schrom, Jorg Bergmeister,
Timo Bernhardt and team owner/
driver Kevin Buckler enjoy the after-
math of a winning effort.

The Racer's Group 911 GT3 RS
won the GT Division of the Rolex 24.
