Each month, Panorama magazine brings you the best from the world
of Porsche. Races, vintage car shows, technical articles, we cover
it all!
At Panorama, we never have room for all the pictures we'd like
to share with our readers. Here are some photos that just wouldn't
fit into the magazine this month.
These photos from the August Panorama magazine were shot by Joe
Rusz at the long lead press introduction of the 2003 Boxster and
Boxster S outside of Rome, Italy.

Side air intake scoops are now painted body color. For
2003 they draw in more air than before.

Both Boxster S and Boxster get eight additional
horsepower for 2003 and improved fuel economy.
VarioCam technology increases engine output
and reduces fuel consumptioon.

The convertible top on the 2003 models drops
at a steeper angle to the rear lid. The new

Porsche introduced their 2003 Boxster
models at a 15th century villa outside Rome. Newsworthy
is the fact that the new cars will be offered at the
same prices as their 2002 counterparts.

For the 2003 model year, the noses of both the
Boxster S and the normal Boxster have been redesigned
with greater curvature on the outer flanks. The
reduction in the swept-arrow shape of the front
end serves to boost ram pressure while driving.

The enlarged glove box of the 2003 Boxsters will
hold a years' worth of Panoramas.

The most striking new feature at the rear is the
redesigned spoiler. On the new models, the flow of
air onto the spoiler is further improved by the different
shape of the car's roof.

Two new contour lines at the rear provide better
exchange of the air heated by the muffler through
slots directly above. Keen-eyed observers will notice
that the tailpipes have also been slightly altered.
|
|
|
Side air scoops have been moved further to the
front where they are flush with the body of the
car.
