November 2004

Each month, Panorama magazine brings you the best from the world
of Porsche. Races, vintage car shows, technical articles, we cover it all!

At Panorama, we never have room for all the pictures we'd like to
share with our readers. Here are some photos that just wouldn't fit
into the magazine this month.

Along with a first driving report of the brand new Type 987 Boxster, also featured in the November issue is a report on Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta where the Alex Job Team swept the top two places in the GT division. For our Gallery this month, we present more images from the 10-hour enduro which is perhaps the most demanding on the ALMS calendar.

We refer you to the magazine for even more articles. How do you get your copy? Join PCA, Porsche Panorama is a prime benefit of membership!

Jörg Bergmeister was joined by Sascha Maassen and Timo Bernhard to press the victory in the #23 Porsche.

Unbeatable again, Alex Job's two cars claimed first and second. This is the third year in a row the McKenna-backed team has scored the win at Petit Le Mans.

Young Porsche factory drivers Patrick Long and Marc Lieb, racing on different teams for this event, talk things over.

Corvettes are dominant in the GTS class, just out of reach of the smaller-engined GT3s.

Alex Job and Porsche Motorsport chief Uwe Brettel enjoy the relative comfort of Job's two-tiered, boat-inspired command center.

An early incident with one of the faster prototypes forced the Flying Lizard GT3 RSR driven by Daren Law, Johannes van Overbeek and Patrick Huisman to come back from lengthy repairs, finishing fifth in class.

Finishing fourth in the GT class, the Ferrari is a constantly improving threat to the Porsche GT3 RSR's dominance

Sleek and purposeful looking, Dick Barbour's Maseratis failed to make much of a showing and the team split up shortly after the race.

Cort Wagner's J3 Motorsports Porsche enjoyed a short time ahead of David Murry and Craig Stanton (#31) which eventually finished third in GT.

Every car should have its own fan club.

Check out the November issue for the full story on Petit Le Mans, along with Joe Rusz's detailed report on the new Boxster, everything you need to know about next year's 50th Anniversary Parade at Hershey, Dakotas Region's journey to the Black Hills and plenty of technical questions and answers from PCA's team of experts.
