49th Porsche Parade Concours d’Elegance!

Porsches & courthouse imageMaverick Region and the City of Ft. Worth welcome you to the 49th Porsche Parade Concours d’Elegance sponsored by Porsche AG and Porsche Cars North America!

Main Street Ft. Worth and Sundance Square will be this year’s site for the Concours d’Elegance. The Concours will be held on Monday, July 5th, 2004, this is the official government Fourth of July holiday.

Your Concours site will be especially unique this year and will provide a picture-perfect setting for displaying your Porsche. Downtown Ft. Worth and Sundance Square will offer participants and family a wonderful flavor of the Old West. Our main venue will be red brick-lined Main Street, Ft. Worth featuring longhorn topiary, the Chisum Trail murals and the Tarrant County Court House clock tower framing the Concours site. So join us for a memorable Porsche setting at the gateway to the Old West.

The Concours Site

Boxster & topiary imageOn Concours morning, Ft.Worth will cordon-off entry to Main Street except for Porsches entered in the event. Note that Main Street is tree-lined adding to the charm of the Old West and Sundance Square. The staging and positioning of Porsche’s will take this into account and ensure that no cars are beneath the trees. To make things convenient for participants, the east side of our HQ hotel faces onto Main Street, our Concours venue.

Although cordoned-off, the Concours site is a public street. No jacks, jack stands or painting will be permitted at the Concours site. All final cleaning supplies must be removed from the site before judging begins. For your convenience, we will provide secure locations for your supplies. No commercial signs or commercial activities are permitted without prior approval from the Concours Chair. No loud music will be permitted at any time.

To comply with requirements of the City of Ft. Worth, an entrant or co-entrant with a key must remain with the car at all times. Only the entrant or co-entrant will be permitted to interface with the judges, and one of these individuals must be present during judging.

Staging and Placement

At registration you will receive a map that will direct you to your Concours entry point. You will also receive information on the time to report. Different groups will enter from different side streets along the 6-block Concours venue. Concours workers will direct you from your entry point onto Main Street and from there, to your display position. Cars will be staged in the order they arrive and grouped according to the PCR’s.

Remember, all cars must be driven on to the Concours site except for Historic display cars and Club Race cars. No pushing or other means of transporting cars to the display area is allowed. Division winners will be moved under their own power to the Division judging area.

Unloading Historic and Club Race Cars
