NOTE: Visit the E-Packet web page for the latest TSD Rally Information and Rules

The 52nd Porsche Parade TSD rally will be an enjoyable drive through the Southern California landscape giving you a chance to visit roads you would likely otherwise not find the time to travel.  Although the course is currently under design, we have already found several roads that will definitely be a part of it.  We have choices of near ocean views as well as lakeside jaunts and hilltop passes with state erected elevation designations.

One could easily make an entire rally of traveling between the many county parks San Diego has to offer.  We won’t, of course; the roads we have chosen after the odometer check are less frequently traveled two-lane roads.

We hope to encourage people who have not been on a parade rally before to participate in this particular event – even those who have not been on ANY rallies before should have a great time.  Instructions will be abundantly clear and the rules will be available ahead of time for you and your rally partner to become familiar with. There is no substitute for having run multiple rallies.  As with the autocross and the concours, the more often you participate, the better your score is likely to be. Experience is a great teacher. Typically there is a rally class to help you with rule interpretations and clarify questions you might have.

We will offer both the rules and rally tips at this location in future updates.  If you have access to folks who have been to previous parades, ask them about their rally experience and what they might have available to let you browse—things like the PCRs which would help you pick your rally class (PCR section R-2) the glossary, and the rally section (all in the PCRs). If you can’t locate a copy of the PCRs, one will be sent to you with your registration packet or be available for downloading.

Tip # 1:  Make certain your Porsche has a working odometer and secure a time-of-day watch that can be synchronized to a time signal or other clock.
