Tours for Parade San Diego
There is so much to do and see here in San Diego that many visitors never go outside the city limits, however, the locals are aware of things in San Diego county that have much to offer for those who prefer to explore more rural pastimes. This obviously includes hiking, camping, fishing, plus many numerous off-road activities, but one of the things that San Diego county has to offer a Porsche enthusiast, is a large array of country roads ranging from “cruising roads” to back country “twisties.”
The objective of providing tours at this year’s PCA parade is to offer participants a chance to sample some of the local roads that have been classified as true “Porsche roads.” Additionally, a scenic tour of San Diego will be provided which will take in some of the local landmarks such as Old Town, Balboa Park, Point Loma Lighthouse, Coronado, and the Mount Soledad scenic outlook.
Due to Parade San Diego being only 5 days, tours have been revised from the traditional format. This year parade entrants will be given a tour book which will contain directions for a number of self-driven tours which Parade-goers are at liberty to take at any time during their stay, whether in a Porsche or a rental car.
Additionally, members of San Diego Region will be leading some of these tours on Friday and Saturday, July 6th & 7th, after Parade has officially finished. The number of cars on these guided tours will be limited for practical reasons, but a concerted effort will be made to meet the needs of as many interested parties as possible.
