Driver Education

The Nord Stern driving school (Driver Training) is designed to teach and enhance high-speed driving skills and techniques on an actual racetrack. Training includes class sessions, on-track exercise, and supervised lapping sessions. This course is a prerequisite for Driver Education participation. Driver Training (DT) includes options for Novice and Advanced Lapping for experienced drivers. Location: Brainerd International Raceway!

Event Fees

Entry Type Fee Description
Novice School (Friday Only) $250 Instructional training program that includes braking, slalom, lapping, and classroom instruction. The Friday only option does not include the DE weekend event.
Novice School (w/DE weekend) $450 Instructional training program that includes braking, slalom, lapping, and classroom instruction. The Novice School with DE weekend option is our best value for novice students. NOTE: the Registrar will automatically add and confirm you to the Driver Education event.
Advanced Lapping $200 All-day open lapping sessions with morning sessions on the Competition (short) track and the afternoon sessions on the Donnybrooke (long) course.
Instructor   Instructor registration for the Friday school. Student pairings will be communicated during the Friday morning drivers' introduction meeting.

Additional Information: A late registration fee of $25 will be applied after Sept. 8, 2017.
