Join Porsche Club of America and Porsche Cars North America at the Porscheplatz, Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21 at the Northeast Grand Prix, Lime Rock Park, Lakeville, CT. The Porscheplatz is a hub of activity during the race weekend for PCA members and Porsche owners. The Porscheplatz is located trackside at Turn 6, providing a great view of all the racing action. Presentations by Porsche GT Team drivers, Porsche Motorsport North America and Porsche Global Partners will also take place in the Porscheplatz tent. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet your favorite Porsche drivers in the Porscheplatz.   Special garage / team transporter tours will also be available. You can also just relax in the tent, enjoy a cool beverage, and watch the races via live feed TV.  Special drawings will be held both days, including ones for the “Hot Pit Experience.” “Hot Pit Experience” winners are given a personally guided tour into the hot pits during the races. “Porsche Car Corral” parking is available adjacent to the Porscheplatz tent. Admittance into the Porscheplatz is exclusively for PCA members and Porsche owners only (with your general admission ticket to the races) Remember to bring your PCA membership card or proof of Porsche ownership for admittance to the Porscheplatz. (Porsche key, insurance papers, etc.)

RACE ADMISSION

Please note, for the IMSA Northeast Grand Prix Weekend, current or former members of the U.S. Armed Forces with any proof of service are admitted free. Thank you for your service! Youths 16 and under with at least one accompanying adult are also admitted free. General parking is available.

PORSCHE CAR CORRAL PARKING TICKET

The Porsche Car Corral Parking Ticket allows you to park in an area exclusively for Porsche vehicles infield next to the Porscheplatz tent. A limited number of these parking passes will be sold. You must be driving a Porsche vehicle to park in the Porsche Car Corral, regardless of the purchase of a Porsche Car Corral Parking Ticket. No exceptions. CLICK HERE to purchase.

NOTE: The Porsche Car Corral Parking Ticket does NOT include a race admission ticket. Race admission tickets must be purchased separately. 

“PORSCHE ONLY” PARADE LAP INFORMATION

2018 Northeast Grand Prix • Lime Rock Park

If you purchase the Porsche Car Corral Parking Ticket from Lime Rock Park you are eligible to participate in the “Porsche Only” Parade Laps on the track Saturday, July 21. Parade Lap Sign up / Registration begins at 7:00 am Saturday. You must register in person. Parade Laps are held at slow, street legal speeds, and are limited to the first 50 drivers who sign up.  There is no advanced sign up. Driver must have purchased the Porsche Car Corral parking ticket package from Lime Rock Park to participate. All Parade Lap related business, including sign up, waivers, Safety Briefing and staging will take place at the Porscheplatz tent on Saturday morning and will be administered by IMSA and Lime Rock Park. No advance sign up. All drivers must present a valid driver license and proof of insurance. Passengers must have valid picture ID (i.e. driver license or government ID with them.) Parent or legal guardian will sign for passengers under 18.

7:00 am           Parade Lap Sign Up / Registration opens. Upon entering “Porsche Only” Car Corral at the Porscheplatz, let the PCA volunteer know you would like to participate in Parade Laps. You will be directed to our staging area. Only PORSCHE VEHICLES are permitted. Limited to first 50 drivers who sign up. All drivers and passengers must sign a waiver. EACH DRIVER AND PASSENGER WILL RECEIEVE A SPECIAL WRISTBAND THAT MUST BE WORN. NO EXCEPTIONS.

7:50 am           MANDATORY IMSA PARADE LAP SAFETY BRIEFING – All drivers and passengers must attend. Each driver will receive a special sticker indicating their Safety Briefing attendance that must be placed on windshield (driver side, upper left)

Parade Lap Staging will follow briefing. Drivers must be at their cars ready to stage. If you are not ready to stage or are late to staging, you will not be able to participate in the Parade Laps.

YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE TRACK WITHOUT THE STICKER PROVIDED AT THE SAFETY BRIEFING INDICATING YOUR ATTENDANCE.  DRIVER AND PASSENGER MUST WEAR THE PARADE LAP WRISTBAND INDICATING THEY HAVE SIGNED THE WAIVERS.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • In the premier WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GT Le Mans class, race-bred cars from factory and privateer teams battle for the overall win. This exciting class includes factory teams from Ford, Chevrolet, Porsche, Ferrari and BMW
  • In the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GT Daytona class, GT3-spec race cars join the party this year, including Lamborghini, McLaren, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes-AMG, Lexus and Acura NSX. Another exotic, hard-racing field
  • The Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Grand Sport class now welcomes GT4-spec cars, which means in addition to the Porsche Caymans GT4, Ford Mustangs and Chevy Camaros, you also now have fantastic factory-prepped machines from makers such as McLaren and Aston Martin
  • The Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge TCR class is made up of front-wheel drive cars with four or five doors produced by mainstream automotive manufacturers
  • The Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Street Tuner class sees a terrifically diverse variety of cars such as the Audi S3, Mini Cooper JCW, Porsche Cayman, Mazda MX-5 Miata, Nissan Altima and BMW 328i
