The Porsche 911 GTS Club Coupe will make an appearance at Daytona International Speedway this weekend before the start of the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season opener. The cover will be pulled off the car at Porsche Club of America’s infield Porscheplatz hospitality area, tentatively scheduled for 10:20 AM on Saturday (be sure to arrive before 10 AM and check the schedule), giving PCAers and Porsche owners a chance to see it in the metal for the first time.

All you need is your PCA membership card or a Porsche key to gain access to Porscheplatz and this special occasion.

Following the unveiling, a 20-minute presentation will be given on the car. Yesterday PCA and Porsche Cars North America unveiled the 911 GTS Club Coupe at PCNA’s new headquarters at One Porsche Drive in Atlanta. The car commemorates PCA’s 60th anniversary and wears a unique paint made just for it named Club Blau, which was inspired by the blue on PCA’s current logo. Plenty of other unique features distinguish it from regular production 911s, and just 60 will be made. Porsche will raffle one off, and PCA members will have the chance to purchase the remaining 59.

If you plan to attend the Rolex 24 this weekend, be sure to come on over to our Porscheplatz tent — even if you can’t make the GTS Club Coupe reveal — and enjoy the racing from our infield location, the company of friends and like-minded Porsche enthusiasts, the Porsche corral, and plenty of snacks and drinks.

The twice-around-the-clock action and drama of the only 24-hour sports car race held in North America and the energized atmosphere of the infield and paddock area featuring an overflowing Porscheplatz and access to Porsche factory drivers promises to make this year’s Rolex 24 an event you don’t want to miss.

With 22 overall victories (11 of them consecutively) and 76 class wins at the Daytona 24, Porsche has achieved more success there than any other manufacture. From the high banks of the tri-oval to the road-course infield, Porsche race teams have succeeded on the unique layout of Daytona International Speedway since the earliest sport car races held there over 50 years ago.

If you can’t make the Daytona 24, you have plenty of live broadcast options to watch the race, qualifying sessions, and the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge season opening race. See below for details.
