Video: Two GT3 RSs and a Cayman GT4 spotted outside Porsche Museum

Friday, May 8, 2015

A group of fortunate PCA members touring Germany were surprised today by two GT3 RSs and a Cayman GT4 outside the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. The members are taking part in the Spring Treffen organized by Fast Lane Travel, and while the factory is one of the stops, this treat was one of those cases of being in the right place at the right time.

After completing their tour of the Porsche Museum (including the museum repair shop, which is normally off limits to the public. The last set of photos in the gallery are from the museum repair shop), the PCAers walked outside and their jaws dropped when they saw not one but two brand-new Lava Orange GT3 RSs parked out front.

Members of a French Porsche club had just arrived, lined up their cars along the wall of the museum, and mingled with the PCAers while checking out the forthcoming RS model.

A film crew of three, along with a lot of camera equipment, was trying to fit inside one of the GT3 RSs while Porsche’s Head of GT Cars, Andreas Preuninger, was standing close by and speaking with journalists from Germany's Auto Bild magazine. Soon after, Herr Preuninger departed in one of the cars with one of the journalists.

Interestingly enough, if you watch the video below you will notice that the GT3 RS is a quiet car at idle and low revs despite its high-performance modus operandi...

The PCA members also caught a black Cayman GT4 taking off at the traffic light by the Porsche Museum and a white one for sale at the Porsche Zentrum across the street...
