Video: Ammo NYC and PCA's Connecticut Valley Region show us how track days work

Tuesday, October 27, 2015

Do you yearn to take your Porsche somewhere to have some real high-speed fun? Short of an autocross course, where speeds can be severely limited, the only place to drive fast without fear of incarceration is on track. PCA Zones and Regions, as well as other organizations, host track days all the time, such as the high-performance driver education (HPDE) event detailed in this video by Ammo NYC's Larry Kosilla.

Kosilla attends a PCA Connecticut Valley Region (CVR) HPDE, but before he does so, he gets pointers from CVR Chief Driving Instructor Spencer Cox on how to find and register for driving events, lists useful items to bring to the track, and gives tips on how to prepare your car for track duty. Once Kosilla arrives at the track, you'll see how an HPDE event works, what to expect from driving instructors, and how to maintain track-day etiquette. Scroll down to watch the video, and then get ready for a track day of your own!
