Video: Porsche takes spirit of customer magazine online with video-based 9:11 Magazine

Wednesday, March 29, 2017

Porsche already has an excellent magazine for its customers, Christophorus, which was first published in 1952. Today, the automaker has brought the spirit of the print magazine to the web in it’s newest multimedia endeavor: 9:11 Magazine.

We just watched the first episode, named “Courage,” and it’s quite enjoyable and informative. It takes viewers through ace Porsche test driver, spokesperson, and two-time World Rally Champion Walter Röhrl’s experience one night during the Rallye de Portugal stage in Arganil; highlights the zaniest colors of the 911 through the years; educates with the history of the transaxle Porsches (924/944/968/928); and spotlights a particularly scenic drive in Scotland.

9:11 Magazine will be published five times a year in German and English, and befitting its name, each web episode will be (roughly) nine minutes and eleven seconds. Porsche says the next episode, titled “Pure,” will be dedicated to the iconic rear-engined sports car: the 911.
