Mike Robbins, a longtime Porsche Club of America member who drove his Porsche 356 Speedster to 47 of the 56 Porsche Parades he attended, died Saturday evening, October 28, at age 89, in his home state of Indiana.

Robbins joined PCA in 1958 after purchasing his "Bathtub" 356 Speedster in New York, and went on to help establish a larger presence of the club in his home state of Indiana, becoming a founding member of the Central Indian Region in 1961. During 1963-1964, he served as PCA National Secretary. Robbins was also the first Zone 4 Representative, which covers Regions in the upper mid-west United States.

[UPDATE: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Robbins bought his Speedster in Germany. It has been updated.]
