The second book in his "Practically Free Porsche" book series, UK-based author and enthusiast Robert McGowan espouses about his experiences with the Boxster in "Porsche Boxster: The Practically Free Sportscar: The Beginner's Guide to Owning the Ultimate Roadster."

A more substantial and well-thought-out effort than previous, McGowan writes about the various generations of Boxster — from the 986-generation all the way to the current 718 model — delivering comprehensive driving impressions, buying and selling advice, and useful do-it-yourself repair tips. Photographic assets are still somewhat on the slimmer side, but those included are useful and meaningful.

For the enthusiast considering purchasing a Boxster, this book is a useful and breezy read and a great aid to potentially lowering your cost of ownership.
