Video: Watch PCA, Hagerty, and RM/Sotheby's Porsche Market seminar

Thursday, December 27, 2018

Friday, January 18
RM Tent at The Biltmore
2400 E. Missouri Ave.
Phoenix, AZ

8:30 - 9:30 AM Seminar
9:30 - 10:00 AM Q&A

The Porsche market is unique in the collector car world. Although it’s experiencing a generational shift along with the market as a whole, nothing seems to be left behind by younger enthusiasts. The earliest bent window 356s from the early 1950s are trading in record territory while the 911R from 2016 costs about twice its MSRP from two years ago.  Our panelists will examine this phenomenon and discuss why Porsches from the 1950s-1960s appeal to millennials as much as to boomers. They’ll also look at cars to buy, sell and hold in every price range, from every era.

Brad Phillips - Moderator
Currently the national relationship manager for Hagerty, Brad Phillips has been a car enthusiast for as long as he can remember. Professionally, Brad has been involved with collector car insurance since 2003, working with enthusiasts, museums, and organizations to protect what they love best.

Dave Kinney
Beginning in his early teens, Dave Kinney worked at a dealership that sold classic and exotic cars. During the past 25 years, Kinney has owned hundreds of collector vehicles and has participated in the sale, repair, and valuation of all types of automobiles. He is currently an appraiser and the publisher of the Hagerty Price Guide.

Nathan Merz
Nathan Merz is a native of Kirkland, Washington, and a member of the Pacific Northwest and Inland Northwest PCA regions. An avid Porsche enthusiast, his favorite is his 1971 911 E coupe. To combine his passion and his livelihood, the sales and marketing professional switched careers 11 years ago and founded Columbia Valley Luxury Cars, which focuses primarily on Porsches.

John Wiley
Currently a senior data analyst at Hagerty, John Wiley is a lifelong car nut. Wiley has a master’s of science in applied mathematics from the University of Chicago. Before coming to Hagerty, he was a data scientist at Zillow Group. In addition to being obsessed with cars, Wiley is also an avid photographer.

Ramsey Potts
Ramsey Potts grew up with a father who collected and raced British sports cars. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, he holds a diploma in automotive service and an ASE technician certification. Throughout a 25-year career in the financial services industry, Ramsey has stayed involved in the collector car hobby as a consultant for friends and colleagues. He is a member of several car clubs, and has raced Porsches, BMWs, and Mazdas on the SCCA and Grand-Am circuits.
