In this issue, Pete Stout drives the new 911 GT3, Porsche’s new, PDK-only back-road/track weapon. But before he does so, he drives a manual transmission-equipped 991 Carrera S, the most sporting 911 you can buy with a clutch pedal. In The Long Crossing, Ada Lee Halofsky travels to Traverse City, Michigan, for Porsche Parade 2013, and experiences the biggest PCA event of the year and the camaraderie that exists between PCA members. Think a 356 Carrera GT Speedster is too valuable to drive? In Easy Rider, Randy Wells spends some time with the owner of one such über-rare 356 who thinks its value would be lost if he didn’t drive it. Next up, Ted West visits Watkins Glen International during a 944 Cup race weekend and discovers the most affordable way to race a Porsche in Looking for Roger Penske. Porsche is about ready to release version two of the Panamera, or type “970 II,” and in See Change, Matt Davis details the new car’s numerous updates, including the new twin-turbo V6 that replaces the V8 in the S and 4S models.

Of course, regular Panorama departments Art & Canvas, European Windows, Junior Driver, From the Regions, Street Talk, Tech Q&A, and zwART are all present and accounted for. We hope you’ll enjoy the issue!
