August 2015
701

In the August 2015 issue, Kerry Morse brings us in-depth coverage of Porsche at Le Mans 2015 in "Seventeen" and "The Long Way Home," as well as the marque's history of overall victories at the race in "The First Sixteen." In Ada Lee Halofsky's "Her Targa Becomes Her," read the story of Bev Gould, who bought her 1970 Porsche 911E Targa, nicknamed "Bevees," when she was 23, and nearly 40 years and 340,000 miles later is winning concours with it. Read about the history of Fuchs and the company behind the famous Porsche wheels in "Wheels Are Turning" by Helmut Werb — there's much more to it than just Porsches and wheels. The OEM-plus movement may be waning, but one PCAer took it upon himself to make his 911 Carrera GTS his own through tasteful, factory-like modifications in "à la Carte" by James Tate. Home-based vehicle restorations can give headaches just as easily as enjoyment, but a man and his son see their 944's home restoration as therapy in Ted West's "Orphan in the Storm."

Of course, regular Panorama departments Tech Q&A, European Windows, From the Regions, Street Talk, Art & Canvas, Junior Driver, and zwART are all present and accounted for. Enjoy the issue!
