Clutch cable adjustment frustration

Again, thanks for all your help in the past.  One of these days I'll quit asking questions, but it may not be soon.

The clutch cable that came with the car is frustrating me.  I have lengthened it to the max 17 mm at the yoke, and have adjusted the free play to the minimum 20 mm.  BUT, the cable continues to bottom out on the cable guide attached to the transmission.  I do have the minimum 15 mm travel at the fork, but that is with the cable torqueing against the guide.

Does anyone still rebuild old weber carbs?

I have a 1971 911t that needs carb rebuilding. I want to avoid getting a non stock PMO replacement, hoping someone knows of a craftsman out there who still rebuilds old triple webers.

Any help is appreciated.

engine lid release cable handle replacement

How do I replace the broken plastic handle on the engine lid release cable (the cable is not broken)?

clutch ball pin

Model: 911, Year:1971, Mileage:89,000, Type of use:Street use only
Ed: I'm I just had a computer glitch and I'm not sure my question was sent regarding clutch ball pin, so I will restate it briefly. My clutch ball pin keeps breaking every few thousand miles, could I be impropperly adjusting my cable, I have read owners manuel adjustment to prevent grinding going into reverse, however free trvel adjustment at pedal stop has me confused. Can I measure amount of travel at the release fork to adjust pedal stop, if it is incorrect could I be over stressing the ball pin?

clutch cable adjustment

Vehicle Information: Model: 911t '73.5; Year: 1973; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.4; Total Mileage: 85000;

I have replaced the clutch cable,for a 915 transmission, as the old one no longer could be adjusted. I could often not shift cleanly into 1st and reverse, especially as it warmed up. Now that it is in, how do I properly adjust it? I can not find any clear instructions for the 915.

Starting throttle

Vehicle Information: Model: 911T; Year: 1973; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.4L; Total Mileage: ?;

My starting throttle is not working. The car will start by the gas pedal but that is sometimes rather wild. I guess the linkage is either broken or became unattached. Repair advice?? Thanks!
