1982 911SC Odometer

Vehicle Information: Model: 911sc; Year: 1982; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 101000;

I recently purchased a 150 mph speedometer to replace the stock 85 mph. I mapped the wires and plugged in the new speedometer, which was simpleenough. The speedometer worked fine but the odometer didn't. I thoughtI bought a bad gauge. I removed that one, put the original back in andthe speedometer worked fine, but odometer didn't. The original gaugeworked fine before. What did I do wrong? Is there a fuse (or something)that I could have blown that only operates the odometer?

1974 911clutch accuation

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1974; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 106.000;

Would it be possible to upgrade the clutch accuation mechanism of the 1974 911 to the 1977 and later mechanism with the horse shoe shaped helper spring. My clutch requires much more effort to operate than my buddy's 1983 911 with the helper spring. Maybe I could get the parts from a recycler?

1979 911SC Throttle Pedal Slack

Vehicle Information: Model: 911SC; Year: 1979; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 157000;

Recently I have noticed that sometimes when the throttle gets pushed tothe floor, it sticks. What could be causing this? Also I noticed that Ihave some slack, because there is about an inch of play on the pedalbefore the throttle engages. Is the slack at the pedal, in the tunnel orin the rear of the car. How can I tell?

1974 911 Turn Signal Switch

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 2.7 Coupe; Year: 1974; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 130000;

I have a turn signal switch for a '73 911 and would like to install it onmy '74 911 (I like the design of the earlier handle). I wouldn't thinkthere's too many changes in something basic like a turn signal switch -activate turn signals, cancel, activate high beams, low beams, prettysimple. The wiring harness has a connection for a relay along with 3 or4 other wires. Is this something that'll work?

The lower lever on my defroster/heater control binds somewhere. Fromwhat I can see from looking underneath the dash, the cable may be bent oris binding inside the tubing. What is the procedure to replace or repairthe cable attached to the lever?
