speedo runs 10 mph lower than real speed

Model: 911sc, Year:1977, Mileage:128,00, Type of use:Street use only
Can the speedometer be re-calibrated. Mine is off by about 10 mph (slower). Could a replacement transmission have anything to do with it?

gauge moisture

Model: 911, Year:1988, Mileage:66,000, Type of use:Street use only
1988 Carrera Coupe. 66,000 milesThere is moisture/condensation inside the oil pressure gauge. Last year, it came and went on its own. This year, I used a hairdryer externally and it took most of the moisture away, but left a stain. Is there a way to remove the stain without removing the dash and disassembling the gauge?

How much for alternator?

Model: 911, Year:1978, Mileage:175000, Type of use:Street use only
Well after trouble shooting the charging system on my 78sc it looks like the external style alternator is done. My last action was to replace the voltage regulatorbut it didn't do the trick and after I jumped the car it died eventually. So, my question now is how much should I budget for an upgraded internal style alternator installed by a local independent Porsche shop? I live in Sacramento area and do have luxury of some great shops. I think this repair might be a little out of my comfort zone. Thanks!

Voltage Regulator-External

Model: 911SC, Year:1978, Mileage:175000, Type of use:Street use only
First, I hope this is my last question around the voltage regulator after I was getting some low VM readings under 2RPM. I'm going to switch out the External Regulator on my 78sc to see if that will do the trick. I pulled off the cover in the left side of the engine compartment and located the Marchal External Regulator. Is there a trick to pull this off? I tried to pull up with no success? Any hints on removing it would be appreciated. I must be missing something simple.

odd wiper behavior

Model: 911, Year:1982, Mileage:202000, Type of use:Street use only
can you please tell me the location the electronics that control the intermittent wiper operation. Occasionally, when I hit the blinker, I get a couple of swipes of the wiper. Could be a bad ground or the intermittent electronics being very sensitive to electrical noise as it gets old.thanks for the help.Steve
