increase displacement

Vehicle Information: Year: 1983; Body Type: Coupe;

When rebuilding an SC engine which is stock except for SSI/single outlet Dansk, would increasing displacement to 3.2 be worth the extra expense? Are good quality cylinder/piston kits still available?I'm told that Mahle are n/a. What can I expect from such a change, all else remaining stock?

vapor from oil filler neck

Vehicle Information: Year: 1975; Body Type: Targa;

Hi,I have a 75 911S and when I check the oil level, a vapor comes out of the filler neck. Is this normal ? The car doesn't burn blue out of the exhaust, and I recently purchased it, so I have not had a chance to perform a compression check . Any insight is appreciated. Thanks

oil thermostat

Vehicle Information: Year: 1976; Body Type: Targa;

Last year I bought a used 911S. It has always run hot. I found that there was not any oil flow to the front cooling loop. I replaced the oil lines from the thermostat to the front cooler and back, due to finding the original lines crimped. I still do not have oil flow. With the temperature in the middle range, I can touch the oil lines in the front wheel well and they are cool. I have since ordered a new thermostat insert. Can you explain the operation of the original oil thermostat?
