1982 911SC Oil Cooler Upgrade

Vehicle Information: Model: 911sc; Year: 1982; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 107,000;

I recently acquired an oil cooler in a trade that has about 15 vertical1/2 inch diameter tubes. Some people that I talk to were saying that thiswas one of the best oil coolers and I should make it replace my loopstyle cooler. I would have to rig up a bracket to support it nicely.Should I swap it?

1974 911 2.7 liter Head Studs

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1974; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 60,000;

I have owned my 2.7 since 1980. The head studs torque ok but Iunderstand I am living on borrowed time. The studs will pull loose fromthe case; it is just a matter of when it will happen. What is thecurrent thinking regarding this issue? Should I replace them with somemodern technology studs? Wait until the deed is done and go for a 3 literreplacement or what? The body and interior of this car are great and Iwould like to keep it.

1978 911SC ROW Engine Performance

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 SC ROW; Year: 1978; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 90K;

I would like to find out the engine performance figures (torque, HP) for the 1978 911SC. Iwould also like to find bore, stroke, compression, valve sizes etc. The data I've been finding is confusing and conflicting. Some say the ROW is the same as the US version in 1978. If this is the case why does PCA racing class the ROW in faster class than the the US version? Are thereother differences?

1980 911SC Engine Idle

1976 911S Heat Exchanger Upgrade

Vehicle Information: Model: 911S; Year: 1976; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 104,000 miles;

The heat exchangers on my 1976 911S need to be replaced. I also own an1985 Carrera with good heat exchangers and I'd like to upgrade theCarrera to SSI's. Would I be so lucky as to be able to swap the 3.2 heatexchangers into the 2.7?

1983 911SC Air Box Pop-off Valve Installation

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 SC; Year: 1983; Body Type: Convertible; Total Mileage: 75000;

I am getting ready to install the pop-off valve for the air box, and ama little confused. The instructions give a hole size for the mouth of thevalve to fit in, but that hole size does not seem to allow ample spacefor the piece to fit within the ribs!?! I hope that make sense. Itappears as if I would also have to cut out around some of the ribs in thebox. Is this common?
