I would like to know if a small chip out of one of the blades of theeleven blade fan will effect anything? It is a very small chip on theback side of one of the blades.

Last month I decided to put headers on my Euro 2.7 motor, shortly ran thecar with the headers then decided to install early heat exchangers. WhenI pulled off the headers I noticed that cylinders 4 and 5 exhaust valveshad what appears to be sodium built-up around the base. What are thechances of a full breakage; assuming they are cracked now, if I continueto run the car? Could this substance be something other than sodium?

This is an update on my previous question on rough running in cold orafter sitting for 8 or more hours. I checked all that you mentioned andthe problem is still there. I have two questions:1) Why does it clear up after 5 mins of running?2) Does the valve in the black air box have anything to do with it? Thevalve blew off one time when the car backfired and I glued it back.

I have a 1980 911SC that has a rough running problem--the idle is up anddown and when I take off from drive way the car bucks and will not goover 2500 rpm. The thing I know is that it seems to happen in colderweather and after about 5 -10 mins of driving its almost perfect. You canrev thecar, with the clutch disengaged and it revs fine up to 6500 rpms, but assoon as you engage the clutch, the engine runs poorly (as if it isrunning on 3 cylinders with a little dark smoke).
