My 911sc has not had the oil sump screen up grade. I've tried to get theupgraded screen but I've had no luck. The Porsche dealer in town justsaid its NLA. Most of the mail order companies don't have it either. Idid find one advertised by Performance Products. I've ordered it howeverit's been back ordered for over two months with no delivery date fromGermany. Is Porsche still making the screen? Do you know if its beensuperceeded by a different part number?

The car starts ok when cold. It also starts within 10 minutes of shutdownwhen hot. But after it sits for 30 minutes after shutdown, it is veryhard to start. What causes this? What will remedy it?

I have an 1980 911SC that I want to convert to a newer year 911 engineand transmission. What needs to be done to accomplish this? I wouldprefer the 1990-96 Turbo engines and transmissions if it is possible. Ifnot, what would be good swap?

The car was running fine then suddenly quit with no warning. It will notrestart. The fuel system seems ok, everything runs and I do smell fuelwhen cranking. There is no spark but the CDI unit hums as it should. Isuspect the coil, but that seems odd to have just quit. Am I missingsomething?

I am looking to do an engine rebuild and at the same time I would like tomake some major engine modifications. What can I do?

My 2.7 engine is running very warm at 240F. I am pretty certain that theoil thermostat is not opening. With the engine hot I can hold the lineexiting the thermostat and it is not hot to touch. The oil cooleritself, is cool to the touch. Is it a common problem for this to happen.Can I rebuild this unit? Any suggestions?
