Noisy fluid exchange heard from drivers seat

Model: 911 SC, Year:1980, Mileage:81,000, Type of use:Street use only

air filter

Model: 911, Year:1977, Mileage:8000, Type of use:Street use only
motor has 8000 miles on rebuild.Does the choice of air filter make any performance improvement? What is the best air filter to get the best performance? I have heard that K&N has less air restriction but less dust filtration. Also there is a foam type filter, also using oil, claims better air flow and dust filtration than K&N.I also have seen a replacement air box cover which is open on both ends. Will this help also.

recomended oil weight

Model: 911 CARRERA, Year:1975, Mileage:5000, Type of use:Street use only
I HAVE A 1975 911 CARRERA WITH AROUND 5,000 MILES ON THE REBUILT ORIGINAL ENGINE (2.7). WHAT BRAND, WEIGHT, AND TYPE (SYNTHETIC/ PETROLEUM) OIL DO YOU THINK WOULD BE BEST TO USE? THE CAR HAS CARRERA TENSIONERS, SO I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF THEY LIKE A CERTAIN KIND OF OIL. DO I NEED TO FOLLOW A CERTAIN PROCEDURE WHEN STARTING THE ENGINE AFTER CHANGING THE OIL TO GET THEM UP TO PRESSURE? I'M IN NE OHIO BUT THE CAR ISN'T DRIVEN BELOW 45-50 DEGREES F. THANKS!

compression

Model: 911sc, Year:1978, Mileage:175,00, Type of use:Street use only
I recently bought a 78SC with 175k miles on the clock. Engine was rebuilt about 50k miles ago by a professional shop. Car pulls really hard and runs great. Just curious though. When I did the compression test on my PPI the readings were between 145-150 PSI on all cylinders. (Consistent) Is this good? What should the readings be in a perfect world. ThxChris

My 78 SC turned over (normal strong) and then died, without starting. I got a push and it started and ran (rough) for a 1000' then died again. Tried to push start but no ignition and now it won't turn over or start but it has power. Not sure where to start looking since it did start and has power. Please help.

Model: 911SC, Year:1978, Mileage:90000, Type of use:Street use only
I HAVE A 78 911 SC WITH A 3.0 ENGINE AND AM WANTING TO GET ABOUT 450 HP, IS IT POSSIBLE? WHAT MODS DO I HAVE TO DO? OR IS IT BETTER TO PUT A 1992-94 3.6 ENGINE AND GET 450HP? WHAT MODS WOULD I HAVE TO DO TO THAT ENGINE? WHAT WOULD BE LESS EXPENSIVE WAY TO GO WITHOUT LOSING QUALITY????
