Wiring Diagram for speedometer/odometer

Hello-

I noticed my odometer stopped working, I saw a couple wires from the back of the gauge came loose from the connector.  Probably when I pulled out the gauge to shift the position in the housing to get a better view since a installed a smaller diameter steering wheel whcih I did months ago.  Thanks in advance.

Engine and trans numbers not on production card

Hello-

I took my 1985 911 in to a Classic Porsche dealer for a Classic Tecnical Certificate on 6 Nov. In trying to get a status I was told by my service rep at the dealer that the production card did not have the engine or trans numbers.  There is an inquiry to PAG.  Is this unusual or something I should be worried about?  Thanks for any insight on this specifically and or the current general process of a CTC.          V/r                                           Gary “Todd” Plaster

How many 1984 M491 Cabrio cars were built?

Hi,

I'm the current owner of a 1984 Carrera Factory Wide Body (M491), painted Metalic Rose.

I have COA and I've wondered how many M491 Cabs were built in 84? I've been told very few.

Also, what's the market value on this car?

Attached is the COA

Thanks in advance.

M491 Without Widebody

Model: Carrera, Year:1986, Mileage:125,00, Type of use:Street use only
I have a 1986 Carrera. It seems to have all or most of the components of the M491 option except for the wide body. Has the chin spoiler, whale tail, 50 & 55 series tires, turbo tie rods, turbo brakes. Could these parts be ordered "a la carte" from the factory or just added later? Thanks,Rick WahlbergRedwood Region

e mail subscription

Model: 911, Year:1986, Mileage:120000, Type of use:Street use only
I would like to create the e-mail subscription to receive all of the questions for each model answered by a Tech Committee member as stated in the panorama Tech Q & A section. I cannot find how to get this service on the PCA web site. Thank you, Werner Gerhardt

Missing option code sticker

Model: 911, Year:1989, Mileage:116000, Type of use:Street use only
Both of our 911's, an '89 Cabriolet and a '99 C4, are missing the factory build codes and option stickers that should be attached to the underside of the luggage compartment lid. Is there a way to obtain a legitimate replacement from Porsche? I understand that Porsche offers a COA, but the sticker holds a unique value with enthusiasts. It utilizes a unique font (maybe a dot pattern) for it's alpha numeric type. Thanks for your assistance.

silver aniversary

Model: Carrera, Year:1989, Mileage:59000, Type of use:Street use only
I have a Silver Anniversary coupe. The car is in very good original condition I think.I think the original owner had the wheels chromed and the hubs painted black. They look good but I dont believe this was an original option. I would like to bring them back to original condition. Is that the polished aluminum or is the chrome / black original as well? How do you feel about painting the calibers red? Will that devalue the car?

Certificate of Authenticity
