heater/defroster on drivers side/cable does not work

Model: Carrera, Year:1984, Mileage:92756, Type of use:Street use only
I have a 1984 Carrera and the heater/defroster cable on the drivers side does not work. There is no resistance on the orange handle between the front seats. Do I need to remove the lower console? Do I need to replace the cable? How does it attach under the handle? The other end of the cable under the hood is in place. I am not much of a mechanic but willing to try. Thanks for your helpDennis Marten

condensor fan

Model: carrera 4, Year:1990, Mileage:122000, Type of use:Street use only
greetingsmy condensor fan runs for 5 seconds and then shuts off for 5 seconds and then kicks in again and the cycle keeps repeating itself as long as the A/C is on. the compressor, drier, control module are new. the condensor is clean. the air blows cold, so the rest of the system seems to be in working order. is it normal for the condensor fan to work that way?thanksJoe Feghali

heater blower control switch

Model: Cabriolet, Year:1984, Mileage:94,000, Type of use:Street use only
I have a 1984 911 3.2 Cab. When I turn on the heater blower control switch to the "third" position, it always works. However, when I turn it on to position "one" or "two" sometimes it works; more often than not--does not work (maybe once a month it does). I don't like third position because of the noise. So I would like to rectify the problem. Can I fix this myself? How? Or does this require service? My service repair person said he doesn't know how to fix this. I drive this car daily.

Engine dies when A/C is turned on

Model: Carrera 4, Year:1990, Mileage:98,000, Type of use:Street use only
I live in Texas so I need a/c during the summer months. I can turn my a/c on while I am moving but the car will die coming to a stop if I have the a/c on. I think the a/c motor maybe overloading the engine when at idle. Any suggestions?

Intermittent Blower function

Model: 964 C4, Year:1989, Mileage:123000, Type of use:Both Street & Track
My blower fan turns when the car is started and runs at full speed for 3-4 seconds before shutting off on its' own and won't respond to any of the fan controls. During a drive, it will randomly come on for a few seconds and shut off again. I still appear to have control over the temperature, but I have no control over the fan.
