My car will occasionally lose power, rpm decays, and acts like fuel starvation. As you make preparation to pull off the road (5-15 seconds max) it will "re-light" and run fine!? This is a follow up to my fuel filter question, i.e. "How do you change the fuel filter in a 1999 996 coupe? Your response, "Not much to it . . ." is insane. The filter is in the center tunnel. However, the anti-freeze and hydraulic lines are between you and the filter. You can't reach the filter unless you know of some way short of draining the fluids and disconnecting the hoses. Help me out here.

I have noticed in a buyer's guide that Option Code M545-large capacity fuel tank was an option on the 993. How difficult would it be to retrofit this in a car not originally order with this option? Are these tanks readily available for order? Fuel sending unit the same? Modifications required? Thanks.

your opinion on installing genuine porsche 993 performance air box lid and K&N air filter.would there be any noticeable differences,power noise,starting etc? would this air box insallation require an engine tuneup?

I noticed on my GT3 that when I upshift there's no need to back off on the throttle, i.e. the RPM will drop after I disengage the clutch even if I keep my right foot stationary. My friend's '03 Boxster doesn't do that. Is this feature something new in the '04 E-Gas cars? Or just on the GT3's?
