cold weather tires

Car is my daily driver.  Current tires are OEM Pirelli P Zeros. At 45 degrees or lower, it's like driving on hockey pucks.

I'm looking for a tire that will better adapt to cold weather, willing to sacrifice performance.

Just had new tires mounted and balanced all the way around.  Wondering if I should pay for an alignment since the previous tires wore evenly and the car seems to track perfectly.
