Rear Brake Line Removal Tool

Hi Ed;

Any suggestions for how to loosen the rear brake line from the caliper on a 914-6?  Is there a special wrench or socket?  It is buried between the trailing arm and caliper.  The brake line at the front end is frozen to the adapter and hose.  The fronts were easy.

master cylinder

Model: 914, Year:1975, Mileage:90 k, Type of use:Street use only
I was told the 19mm master cylinder was a good up grade on my 75 2 liter. The car has 911 vented front brakes and 914/6 vented rears. I replaced the unit with a URO 23mm high performance master cylinder thinking the bigger brakes could benefit from a bigger master cylinder. I also installed stainless hoses. The brakes now need a lot of pressure to stop the car. Is the new master cylinder causing this situation?

rear brakes dragging

replaced rear brakes and now they seem to be dragging you can feel the car slowing down when you shift and smell them when you stop. I removed the calipers for cleaning but nothing else was done to them. there seems to be the same amount of drag with or without the e brake on any help would be great. p.s. they did not drag before i changed them and they were pretty worn

Brake Proportioning Valve

Ed:As a follow-up to this proportioning valve issue, I found my receipt when I purchased this item. I bought it in January 1993, so it might not be available any longer, but the GM part number is 14044822. List was about $85, wholesale was $75. I have also seen this item on some of the older Saleen Mustangs, so it is a somewhat generic part. I hope this is helpful.Thanks for all that you do.
