seat track

Model: 914-6, Year:1970, Mileage:84,000, Type of use:Street use only
I moved the drivers seat forward, and now it won't go back. It hits a stop that won't allow it to go back. I've looked underneath for a button or a lever on the seat rail, but can do nothing to get my seat back to the "long legged" position.I'm sure it's something very simple that I'm missing, but I am stumped.Please adviseJohn Vorisek CT (CVR)

1976 914 seat swap

Model: 914, Year:1976, Mileage:70775, Type of use:Street use only
Are there any porsche seats that are an reasonable swap into a 914? Right now the car is street driven only, but would like to autocross it in the future.

Instument Panel

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/4; Year: 1975; Engine (type, size, modifications): 1.8L; Total Mileage: 110,000;

The light bulbs on the instrumental panel are not very bright. Besides cleaning the plastic panel could I purchase brighter bulbs? How do I remove the cover plate from the dashboard to install the new bulbs? It appears that the speedometer cable is holding it in place. How do I disconnect the cable if in fact that is what is holding it? There is not much room to reach in behind the panel.

I am in the final stages of a rebuild and it looks like I am missing an interior padding part to my 1976 914. The "gap" is to the rear of the seat back on the left and right sides against the glass window. I have attached pictures showing the gap, but I can not identify the missing part. Is it possible that the part is the Rear Roll Bar Pad, 914 914 552 097 12 ?

Interior Carpeting

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/4; Year: 1976; Engine (type, size, modifications): 1973 Dual Webers; Total Mileage: unkown;

My local Porsche shop is restoring my 914 to a "weekend driver" condition. The interior is black, and the new carpet package is "salt and pepper". I am told that the S&P carpeting is OEM and that the "original" carpeting was not "black". Somehow, I do not believe that this is correct. Any thoughts?

I am in the process of redoing my 914's interior. There appears to be some sort of a triangular cushion which sits in between the seat and the seat back next to the seat belt hard point. The piece sits to the right of the passanger's shoulder and to the left of the driver's shoulder and abuts the rear window. Any idea of a part number?
