What are the specs on the 4 bolt pattern 4 x 130mm? Also what was the offset on the original wheel set-up? and will a 15" x 6.5" wheel work with a stock body setup. would most likely be putting 195/60 or 205/60's on?Thanks for the help,PJB

Tire pressure

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/4; Year: 1974; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.0; Total Mileage: 23700;

I would like to get some recomendations on tire pressure. The ownwers manual and sticker near fuel filler says 26/29 front and rear but many people tell me I should run as high as 36 which is the tire limit for the 195/60 vr15 tires I have. I never ride in snow.I would appreciate some guidance.Thank you

tire size for 914

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/4; Year: 1972; Engine (type, size, modifications): 1.7; Total Mileage: 56000;

Ed,Trying to put a '72 914 back on the road. The tires - 165SR15 are 30 years old and cracked - definitely need to be replaced before hitting the road. I have seen suggestions that I use 205/60R15, but test fit one on the stock rim and found it rubbing on the inner fender during hard turns. Is a 205 too wide? What do you suggest?

Lug bolts vs studs & nuts

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/4; Year: 1975; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.0; Total Mileage: 150,000;

I would like to convert my 914 to studs & nuts as opposed to the stock bolts. My main concern is the nuts. A 911 uses 5 of the aluminum nuts per wheel. I'm using the factory 914 Fuchs wheels with 4 lugs. Are the 911 aluminum nuts strong enough when there are only 4 in use per wheel?

wheels lug bolts

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/4; Year: 1973; Engine (type, size, modifications): 1.7 convert to 2.0; Total Mileage: 129,000;

I have 15x5.5 Fuch rims. PO has placed cone shaped lug bolts on the rim and I am told that is incorrect. But I am not getting a positive answer as to the exact measurements for the size of the bolts in order to replace with ball seat ones. are they 12 or 14 mm. And how would it read 12mm x 1.5 with 38mm thread length? or 14mm etc. Help don't want to crack my rims nor have them fall off while driving. Thanks Evan

Refinishing Malhe wheels

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/4; Year: 1975; Engine (type, size, modifications): 1.8; Total Mileage: 52,000;

I have a set of unpainted malhe wheels, can the rough surface be cleaned up or is painting the easy way out and if it is what is the procedure? Thanks

914 Pirelli P8000 Vizzola's?

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/4; Year: 1974; Engine (type, size, modifications): 1.8L, no modifications; Total Mileage: 144,000;

914 with flare and wheel and tire fitment

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): 914/6; Year: 1975; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.6L 1990 C2engine; Total Mileage: 89k;

I have fiberglass flares used to extent the steel finders. What is the maximum wheel and tire size that will fit? I have a 1984 911 front suspension and 5 bolt pattern on the front and back. Can I run 245/45/16 (9" rim) or 255/40/17 (9" rim)on the front with spacers, if so how thick should the spacers be? Can the rear be fitted with 275/40/17 on a 10" rim? The rims current fit the rear of a 911 1987. Open to other ideas. Thanks
