83 944 clutch pedal

My car ran fine last weekend but the brake fluid light came on so I added some brake fluid to top it off.  When I got in the car a week later the clutch pedal went to the floor and did not return.  I can pull it up with my hand.  I checked the brake fluid level and it had again gone down below the minimum mark.  I topped it up again but that did not help the clutch.  Do you have any suggestions about what I should do next?

83 944 Brake Problems

Just replaced the brake fluid.  Had not been replaced for 5 years and fluid not overly opaque or colored.  No issues with brakes prior.  Now that I replaced the fluid I have the front left caliper lock down and brake pedal becomes super hard.  Drive for a little and it heats up super hot as caliper not releasing.  Let sit for an hour or so and brakes go back to normal.  I have experienced this on and off for a couple weeks.  I pried on the caliper to loosen the brakes so I could hand turn the front left rotor.  Thought cylinder may have stuck due to new fluid or potential debri if rusted du

944 Brake Upgrade to 944 Turbo Brakes

First, thank you for the support.  I have had my 85.5 944 for over 29 years and the love affair remains strong. Of course there is always work to do and have a couple questions hoping you can help me with.  Know there is a lot of “information” out there on this but have yet to see it in one condensed and solid version – and some more accurate than others. My master cylinder gave up the ghost a couple weeks back and figure in for a penny, in for a pound, it is time for a complete brake upgrade.

Model: 944, Year:1983, Mileage:47000, Type of use:Street use only
My 1983 944 is leaking brake fluid at the rubber gasket connecting the plastic fluid reservoir to the metal piece below. What can I do to correct this situation? is there a way to remove only the plastic fluid reservoir and replace this gasket?

Brake Pads

Model: 944, Year:1984, Mileage:95000, Type of use:Street use only
I have Ferodo Rear brake pads(Premier Quality) that I puchased years ago and can not find a source for Ferodo Ft. Pads. Is it wise to use another brand for the ft such as Textar or should I buy FT and Rear from same supplier.

Clutch slave bleeding feeder hose

Model: 944, Year:85/2, Mileage:91,000, Type of use:Track use only. This is more of a notification rather than a question. The clutch master cylinder is fed from a hose attached to the brake master cylinder reservoir. I have two 944's that have had these replaced with incorrect hoses! In one case the hose has collapsed/hardened/blockage and the brake fluid cannot refill the clutch master cylinder.

Problem with fronts locking up...

Model: 944, Year:1985, Mileage:70000, Type of use:Track use only
I have replaced the front brakes on my 85.5 na 944 with a 86 turbo, calipers, hubs, spindels etc. The rear still has the stock brake set-up.Problem: always locking up the front brakes. I drive really hard into conners; can't modulate fronts wheels. How do you bias the front to the rear, different pads?
