Rear Skid Plate Install

Hello:Any suggestions on self installing a rear skid plate on an '09 Cayenne S? Should it be done by dealer? Time required? Thank you.

Model: Cayenne GTS, Year:2008, Mileage:43,000, Type of use:Street use only
I am interested in having my Cayenne GTS play an iPod Classic rather than a CD changer. I see many horror stories abound in the iPod aftermarket. Should I abandon this thought or has someone hit upon the best solution?

Aftermarket air filters

Model: Cayenne Turbo, Year:2005, Mileage:50000, Type of use:Street use only
Hi,I had a question about updating the air filters in my Cayenne Turbo to BMC ones. I know that some have said any aftermarket ones will void the warranty, but doesn't the magnuson-moss warranty act contradict this?Thanks in advance,Bob James

iPhone 3G connection

Model: Cayenne S, Year:2009, Mileage:2,000, Type of use:Street use only
I can hook my iPhone 3G up to the Cayenne to play music and make/receive calls but cannot transfer the phonebook no matter what my dealer or I do, including updating the software. I've tried to transfer over bluetooth and with every available configuration of plugs. It shows a transfer in progress but then an "empty phonebook". I would appreciate any help or advice.

PCM2 Update

Vehicle Information: Model : Cayenne S; Year: 2004; Mileage: 45000;

I recently received a notice from my dealer that there are map updates for the older "cd" based PCM2 map database. There is a $299 charge for the update but my dealer says there is a $91 charge to install. I'm assuming this update is just a new set of cd's with updated map information. Does the dealer have to install these or is it simply pop out the old disc and insert the new? It doesn't sound like my dealer is willing to sell the update without installing it.

Replace XM with Sirius Radio

Vehicle Information: Model : Cayenne Turbo; Year: 2008; Mileage: 1000;

My 2008 Cayenne has a factory-installed XM radio and I would prefer Sirius since I already subscribe to Sirius for my Audi and BMW. Can I buy a Sirius radio kit from the first generation Cayenne (through MY 2006) and replace my XM unit without incurring any compatibility problems such as an unreadable display on the Porsche Communications Management screen when satellite radio is selected?

Navigation DVD Update

Vehicle Information: Model : Cayenne; Year: 2005; Mileage: 20000;

Have they ever come up with a way to update the older Navigation sytems with a newer DVD. I have a 2005 model with the PCM and DVD system but have the 2004 DVD and can not seem to find a way to update this system correctly. A few of the articles I have seen indicated that there are newer DVDs out there but some of them also state that to put one of the dvds in my system could possibly cause a major problem.

satellite radio

Vehicle Information: Model : Cayenne Turbo; Year: 2005; Mileage: 8000;

Just bought this car. Has a "SAT" button that doesn't appear to be connected to anything. Dealer says $1,000 for the sat radiop module and $750 to install. Local quality stereo shop says confident they can install for $150. What do you recommend?
