carbon fiber

Model: 911 GT3, Year:2004, Mileage:14500, Type of use:Street use only
My 2004 GT3 has carbon fiber trim on the top of the dash paralleling the base of the windshield. This trim has delaminated and separated from its base. My dealer referred me to a local body shop which stated the windshield must be removed and the trim replaced. Before such a drastic and expensive repair is authorized I would like to know if there is any specific recommendations for an adhesive which may safely repair the trim.

Decal Removal

Model: 911 Carrera, Year:1974, Mileage:75000, Type of use:Street use only
The previous owner placed decals and stickers on the inside of the quarter windows. How can I remove them without damaging the window tint? Is the tint applied to the surface of the glass, or is it between the layers?

cleaning carpet

How do I clean the charcoal/Perlon carpet in my 912? There are no spots, just embeded soil. The only piece I need to replace is the back of the rear jump seats. Is there a source for just these pieces? Thanks

The left bolster of the back portion of the driver's (sports) seat is warn, discolored and has a small inch perforation. I do plan to enlist the help of Color Plus to cosmetically cover up but I realize it is not a long lasting solution particularly in this very vulnerable area. The passenger seat back is like new thanks to small size of my wife. Can I exchange the seat back with the passenger side? If so, is this a straight forward exchange?

Trim pieces

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1999; Body Type: Convertible; Total Mileage: 63000;

I recently joined after purchasing a 99 911. The car is missing or has broken some interior trim pieces. Example center compartment broken, knobs at top of medal pieces to hold seast belts in rear, Mirror cover on passenger side. I was wondering if there was a place to buy either used parts or discount trim pieces for the car.Thanks,James Patterson

Soft Touch Interior resurfacing

Vehicle Information: Model: 996; Year: 1999; Body Type: Convertible; Total Mileage: 125000;

I bought my car as a reposession for a great price but the soft touch interior finish (some sort of rubberized paint) is horribly worn. Is there a way to refinish this coating? Is there a way to remove what is left of the old one in preparation?A while back you said you expected more of these questions but I've not seen one. Thanks, Peter
