Side view mirror adhesive

Vehicle Information: Model: 944S; Year: 1987; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 45,000;

What type of adhesive do you recommend using to reattach the silver backed mirror glass to the side view attaching plate? Should the old adhesive be cleaned off the heated attaching plate and if so, what should I use?

Door jamb sticker

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Targa; Year: 1986; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 65,000;

Evidently my car was repainted, and the door jamb ID sticker removed but not replaced. Is it possible to get a replacement sticker? I know about the Certificate of Authenticity, for $85, which apparently contains the same info, but is the sticker, itself, replaceable?

correct convertible top materials?

Vehicle Information: Model: 911SC cabriolet; Year: 1983; Body Type: Convertible; Total Mileage: 81,000;

Autos International is telling me German Happich and black herringbone headliner are the correct materials.My local installer is telling me German Sonnenland and black brocade are the correct materials.Which is it? What are the differences? I want to use the correct material since I'm going through the expense of replacing it.

Paint on a 1986 944 Turbo

Vehicle Information: Year: 1986; Total Mileage: 50,000 miles;

In the year 1986, there was no two-stage paint. If I am correct, we were just leaving the lacquer era, and going into lead free enamel years, well, one stage paint only, no clear coat. So if I need to repaint a door, on my metallic 1986 951, do I specify lacquer, or enamel? Does Porsche use Glasurit as one of its paint suppliers, and how about DuPont? If the original factory paint was lacquer, can I still specify Lacquer, I know we cannot use the current two-stage paint as substitute.

Weatherstripping

Vehicle Information: Model: 911Carrera4; Year: 1989; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 48,000;

I'm referring to the weatherstripping around the doors, seals around windows, etc. It has all faded from exposure. I was wondering if there is anything that will restore or if repacing is the only choice.

Convertible top replacement

Vehicle Information: Model: 911C4 Cab; Year: 95; Body Type: Convertible; Total Mileage: 45,000;

The canvas top has small holes where the top folds on either side and I think I need to replace it. Should I replace it with a factory top which I hear is super expensive or dometic canvas? Is there a shop in the NY Metro area that you can recommend? Thanks. Alan
