How is Porsches leather colored?

Model: Boxster S, Year:2001, Mileage:84,600, Type of use:Street use only
Could you tell me how Porsche colors their leather. Is it drum dyed, oil tanned, or maybe top coated? Is it the same leather on the steering wheel, shift boot, and seats?I'm asking because I use Pecard leather dressing on other leather items and have had great results. I would like to use their products on my cars interior also but need to know how the leather is colored.Thanks for your time,Alex

Cracks in Leather Sports Seats

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera; Year: 1974; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 162,000;

Hi John- Our car has leather sports seats. The driver's side seat has two full thickness cracks where the foam is visible through the crack. Unfortunately, they are in the bolster area. We're not really ready to re-upholster. How do you suggest we deal with the cracks? If we need to glue in a leather patch, what glue to you recommend? Does the "crack filling" process that I have heard of before work well in this sort of area?ThanksLynn Kessler

steering wheel redye?

Vehicle Information: Model: 996 C4S; Year: 2003; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 35,000;

I was wondering if you had had any success re-dyeing(or just refreshing) a steering wheel? There are areas that are a little dark (but resist cleaning) and areas that are a little light (from too agressive cleaning) I have seen your positive references to Color Plus. Part of my question also pertains to the option "Natural" I am not sure what the option code 04 "Natural Brown" means as compared to the regular leather.Thanks as always . . .

Interior renovation for a 1972 911T Targa

Vehicle Information: Model: 911T ID# 9112110742; Year: 1972; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 190,000;

I purchased this car from the original owner in 1983 with 47,000 miles on the odometer. The interior is original and not in bad shape...the seats have been rebuilt but the skins are original. Knobs are a little worn. I would like to have the interior redone in leather with dimpled inserts in the seat centers. My question...am I diminishing the value of the car by doing this? Is it better to keep the original interior and "refurbish" that as best I can?

partial leather seats

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 carrera; Year: 1988; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 85,000;

I have an '88 911 with "partial leather" seats. Can you please tell me what part is leather. Is it the entire front/top of the seat, with the perforated center and the side bolsters? Also what about the rear seats for this model, are they also leather? In additon what process and products do you recommend for a good intial cleaning and conditioning, as well as ongoing maintenence. These seats have been in storage for a number of years without any treatment. Thank you.

Satin leather care?

Vehicle Information: Model: C4S; Year: 2008; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 2100;

I have a new C4S with flat black leather interior. My prior (2003) C4s also had similar interior, but whenever I applied any kind of leather conditioner, the sheen became slightly shiny. I assume the leather needs conditioning occassionally, is there any product I can use that will keep the flat black factory look?
