1968 911T Floor Pans

Vehicle Information: Model: 911T; Year: 1968; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.0; Total Mileage: 84,000 on rebuild;

I purchased the car this past summer, It sat for 17 or so years. The motor was rebuilt and had 84,000 on it when a cam tensioner gave way. I am currently restoring it. After engine removal and stipping process I noticed after removing the timing cover on the left side, it looked like a substance of oatmill- or sawdust shavings. Do you have any idea what that could be? #2) I am going to replace the floor pansbecause they are bad (The Flintstones has nothing on me) Where can I find the proceedure for tearing out the old and installing the new? I have Bruce's Anderson's101 book and several others but there is no coverage on this topic.
