1972 911T Oil Drain Into Crankcase

Vehicle Information: Model: 911T; Year: 1972; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.4t; Total Mileage: 130,000;

After the engine cools it seems that the oil drains into the crankcase.When I do oil changes most of the oil drains from the crankcase with only1-3 qts draining from the tank. The engine was stock rebuilt 30k milesago. The oil pump was not replaced as it then produced proper pressureand still does. The oil consumption is less than normal. The annoyingproblem is that the engine smokes a lot of blue smoke on start up if theengine has been shut off for more than about 15 minutes. Do you feelthat the two items above are connected and/or do you have anyrecommendations? I hear that there was an oil screen drain update forlater (75-80) 911's and was wondering if this could be related?
