1974 911 - 2.7L 915 Transmission noise->Rebuilt?

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 2.7L; Year: 1974; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 99500miles;

Hi Guys:My 74'911 2.7L w/ 915 Trans. have a high pitch noise(sounds like bearing wear/vibration) when shifted on 4th and 5th gear apprx. 2500-4000rpm. the engine still pulling Ok, I tried to change the trans. oil to RED LINE OIL which was recommanded by a few tech. Then, the shifting seems a bit smoother/easier,but the noise still there.I've read up on EXCELLENCE mag. about MOTOR MEISTER and VertexAUTO they do rebuilt trans. trade-in for approx. $1275+shiping+install. (I'm from Vancouver Canada.)Is this the best way to go? compare with taking the trans. apart in a local store and try to figure out the problem, then hire someone to rebuilt mine....?Do you know any place around Seattle WA that do a good work, and I could drive down to do RE&RE?Pls Advise,Wilson
