1974 911 Idle Problem

Fuel System

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1974; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 120,000 (rebuilt @ 80,000 - p/c's & heads);

With regard to the fuel system, over the last few years, I have replacedthe fuel filter, fuel distributor, some injection lines, injectors,rubber intake boots, cold start valve and warm-up regulator. The ignitionsystem includes a Permatune box and a Pertronix pointless ignition. Thecar runs great except for the erratic idle. When cold, it idles atapproximately 1100 rpms. As it warms up, or as I drive during the day,the idle increases to 1800 rpm. If I try to adjust it back to 1100 whenwarm, the car either stalls or idles between 850 and 1250 rpm. Recently,my Porsche mechanic set the CO and checked the system pressure, which wasfine. We do not suspect any air leaks, yet I cannot get this car to idlecorrectly. By the way, I have owned this car since 1980, and onlyrecently started experiencing this problem. Any suggestions?
