1976 911S oil flow blockage to pistons

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 911s; Year: 1976; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 53000;

After fixing my head studs and putting the engine back into my car I filled it with oil and following an Upfixin der Porsche article which instructs you to spin the engine using the starter without the coil connected. This would get some oil splashing around before actually firing it. This resulted in an engine siezed from lack of oil to the pistons. When I decided to repull the engine I went to drain the oil only to find that hardly a drop had found its way to the crankcase! I don't know where to start looking for the blockage can you please explain the proper way to find an oil distribution problem.
