1978 911SC Firing Order

Vehicle Information: Model: SC targa; Year: 1978; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 236000;

The other day the car was bogging down at low RPM but seemed to run better as I climbed past 3K, i.e. once I got rolling - I was on my way up a winding hill hit some sand slid out from behind,, at that point the car bacfired three times and would not start. I had AAA tow it home and I replace the plugs, distributor and rotor. (the old rotor had actually broken at the contact end and there was some debris inside the old cap. Long story short I put it all back togeather and started the car - it ran real rough so I shut it off. I know the firing order is 1-6-2-4-3-5, and I know the location of the cylinders (1 is driver side rear - 6 is passenger side front). Where the hell is position one on the distributor? I have been looking for a diagram for the past hour. Please help and thank you.
