911 1979 SC Targa - 115,000 miles Garage kept

I have owned the car for 8-9 years and it has had this problem since I purchased it.

Original engine, rebuilt transmission/new clutch, valve adjustment 2,000 miles ago.

Car will stall after extended driving, 20 miles. Cranks back up immediately. Does not stall after every outing, just sometimes. Sometimes will stall once, sometimes repeatedly. Always cranks back up immediately.

What has been done:

Inspect and replace all vacuum lines as needed.

New fuel filter

Replaced fuse block, fuel pump wire into block had frayed and screw welded to block.

Tried non ethanol for a year, no change in problem

Currently running Chevron premium with 2 bottles of Chevron fuel treatment. No change in problem.

Air intake box removed, debris clean out. This seemed to help but problem returned ~ 5,000 miles later.

Oil changed every 12 months, running Rotella oil.

This car is not a daily driver. It is driven weekly on weekend ‘exercise’ drives. The car runs great except for this one problem. Any assistance much appreciated.
